Hi Karlie. I'd be happy to chat. I think my main piece of advice is to resist the teacherly impulse to feed students their vegetables because you think that's what's best for them. The special thing about film (although this can apply to literature too, which I also teach) is that there is plenty of content available that is both exceptional and thoroughly entertaining. Entertaining your students during a film class is your greatest teaching tool.
